Cheesy Tot Casserole


INGREDIENTS
1-2 lbs ground beef
1 can cream of mushroom
1 bag tater tots
shredded cheese

DIRECTIONS
(1) preheat oven to 375
(2) brown meat in skillet; drain
(3) add cream of mushroom to meat; mix
(4) put meat/soup mixture into casserole dish (the amount of meat you choose will determine the size of dish needed)
(5) top mixture with layer of cheese
(6) top cheese with layer of tots (if you love cheese like me, put another layer of cheese on top of tots)
(7) bake for 20 minutes or until hot throughout Pin It

  1. I used to make this when the kids were home. I just saw this, it brought back memories
    I will make it again, although we don't eat things like that much any more. Loved it. Thanks for reminding me of days gone past. Mary

  2. This tastes even better with cream of mushroom with roasted garlic. This is the same exact thing I make! :) My hubby loves this recipe! :)

  3. I make it with cream of chicken soup and I add a layer of corn to the casserole dish before I bake it.

  4. I'm confused is it 1 to 2 lbs ground beef or just 2 lbs ground beef?

    1. Hi Kelli, You can use as little as 1 pound or as much as 2 pounds of meat for this recipe. It just depends on how "meaty" you'd like the dish:)
